Why and how to update to Cross Sell version 2+?


If you're on any version of Cross Sell > 2 (you can check your version in our app's Account section), you have access to all the new features below. If you're still on Version 1, you can request an upgrade here: https://help.csell.co/support/tickets/new

1) Smart suggestions -> We now support smart recommendations, which are based on Shopify's algorithm that predicts the most relevant products based on the product a customer is interacting with. These might be a good option if you:

(a) don't want to Handpick unique cross sells for all of your products
(b) Need unique suggestions for your products, and 
(c) if showing one set of suggestions via Global Product or Global Cart Cross Sells is not the right fit for your store

Once activated, the algorithm will identify recommended products based on data about products that were purchased together and products with similar descriptions. It will use this data to provide a mix of those related products to show as recommendations.

2) Carousel slider -> show more cross sells on desktop and mobile devices (15 suggestions max per product)

3) Upsell Popup -> show cross sells when customers click "add to cart" from the product page

4) Quickview buttons -> view product info and add items to cart WITHOUT leaving product & cart pages

5) We also have some awesome universal styles that work with all Shopify themes. Choose what's best for you! We can of course help customize minor tweaks (colors, fonts, etc).

6) Better Settings (tax multiplier, random, inventory awareness, show global, smart suggestions or handpicked cross sells on cart, etc).
